I absolutely loved this book! This book had the perfect amount of suspense and romance. This book was a total surprise for me…. I mean when I read the blurb I thought it be a love triangle thing between the shifters but actually this book was nothing like that. This book had so much love, happiness, deception, action and friendship! This is my first book that I have read of this author but I can tell you that this won’t be the last book of hers! These characters had a lot of depth and I just fell in love with almost all of the characters especially the two alpha males that are close to Bailey.
I loved that the book was told in both Ryker’s and Bailey’s POV… It helped me to connect more with those two! I loved Bailey as the lead heroine 😛 She was very stubborn and wanted to do things her own way, and she obviously didn’t need anyone to protect her. That we find out at the beginning of the book. Bailey is one very powerful wolf and she could kick some major butt…. Bailey didn’t know a lot about her kind because someone has erased her memories when she was younger and her pack did not tell her anything. So many secrets was revealed in this book. Ryker was just one very swoon worthy, sexy alpha male in the pack and he was very protective over Bailey. He watched her most of his life and he knew they were true mates when he saw her the first time…. Or at least he had a feeling that they were meant to be. I absolutely loved Sebastian! He was my favourite character in this book! He was Bailey’s protector since she was young girl. I loved the banter between Ryker and Sebastian, it was so hilarious!
Now what is this book about??? Well basically this book is about Bailey who was to be mated with the sadistic Kade but Bailey would not stand to mate with him! She fought him every way she could…. Bailey got away from him and when she ran she was found by her true mate! It took them nearly three times to finish there mating bond because of Kade! Off course that is the basic description about the book…..
You need to read this book to know all the twist and turns and action! This book was a fantastic read and I would easily reread this book. I loved everything in this book. Books about true mates are my favourite kind and I can’t wait for more books. I would love to see everyone in this book to find their true mates after the magic came back!! I really do need more of this series and I kind of need it soon because I loved this book so much! The writing style is also amazing and had me captivated the moment I started this book up until the end! In my eyes this book should have a 4.5 star rating!
You’re disappointed I didn’t sleep with you last night?” Ryker asked.
“Not at all. I enjoy sleeping alone. I have more room.”
“You lie, angel. I could feel your disappointment this morning. All you have to do is tell me you want me and I’ll stay. I have to hear it.”
“You know I want you, Ryker. I’m sure you could figure that out the other night.”
My whole life, I never needed anyone to protect me, not even my parents. And when it came down to it, they didn’t do a very good job when it came to Kade. I knew I could survive on my own. Admitting I needed or even wanted someone was foreign to me. Saying the words out loud was near impossible.
“You showed me, but haven’t told me. Words can be powerful,” he replied.
Rolling my eyes, I got out of bed and threw on some clothes before going downstairs. He was in the kitchen with his back to me, shirt off, wearing only a pair of boxers. Holy fuck. “So if I take off my clothes and lay down on the table, you wouldn’t have sex with me?”
He chuckled. “Nope.”
“Yep.” He continued on with cooking while I stood there, dumbfounded. I didn’t believe him for a second. His back stiffened when I took off my shirt and pants and climbed up on the table.
“I am so hungry,” I announced, waiting for him to turn around. When he did, he completely ignored me and sat down with his plate of food.
He pointed to the counter. “Your plate’s up there.”
“You’re seriously not going to look at me?”
He studied an invisible spot on the table and placed a piece of bacon in his mouth, crunching it slowly. “You’re not ready for that.”
I waited for him to sneak a peek but he didn’t. “Who’s the stubborn one now?”
He chuckled. “Still you, sweetheart. You have me beat.”
