From betrayal and pain, can two very different worlds be saved? A naïve beauty… Olivia has never questioned the teachings of the Witches Guild, never questioned the Elders; it’s the only life she’s ever known. An uncontrollable hunger… Ristan has spent centuries trying to contain his true nature, restraining his Demon and its voracious hunger for souls. A situation neither of them were prepared for. They say the road to Hell is paved with good intentions, and Olivia can’t escape from her actions. What she’s done, she knows must be paid for in blood. Her own. A monstrous need for revenge against the girl who wronged him; Ristan wants to keep her, humiliate and torment her, but his inability to truly harm her may just be his undoing. A dangerous need to explore the man who holds her captive and captivated; Olivia knows she should run, or resist him, but the magnetic pull he has on her is undeniable.

This is the first book in this series and let me tell you this was a perfect start to the series. This book was KINKY, SEXY, FUNNY and SASSY! The beginning of Demons Dark Embrace runs parallel to the end of Seducing Destiny, which you all should know is Ryder’s and Synthia’s story. While you don’t have to read the Fae Chronicles series to understand the novel, it does add extra enjoyment with a lot of other hot alpha males which you don’t want to miss out on! This is still its own novel written for the Elite Guard of the Horde King. This novel does explain things so you won’t get confused and lost in the characters.

Anyway the first book in the series was all about Ristan, Ryder’s brother who is a demon and half fae. He went undercover in the Guild to protect Alden for Synthia and also trying to find out how to save his world and his family.  While he was undercover, he got betrayed and now his on the hunt, seeking revenge on those who betrayed him, especially a little Librarian. Olivia believes she isn’t anything more than a boring Guild Librarian. She feels there is nothing special about her but let me tell there is something special about her. She was all alone, until her actions catch the attention of said hunky, very delicious and now very pissed of demon.

I loved reading their relationship and how it changes.  I enjoyed the growth of the heroine while I hated her at first because of Seducing Destiny, which are all explained in this book, but she has grown on me. You also got a good feel of some of the other characters that are up and coming, along with visits from characters in the Fae Chronicles series that I loved. I’ve been a huge fan of Amelia since her first book. I fall in love with her characters more and more with every book.  She always kept me guessing and you could never guess what will happen next. The demon is smoking hot. Their scenes together are super sexy, intense and just wow. I love the interactions between the brothers and they are really funny and they are all swoon worthy. This is a very well written novel and I can’t wait to read more of the books. I could not put this book down read it in one day!
