I loved this book just as much as I loved the first one in this series. If you guys don’t know it can be read as a standalone but I like to read it as a series because it’s just more fun that way! 😛 I adore paranormal romance novel and this one did not disappoint me at all! Firstly let me tell you what I loved first of the novel was this beautiful cover. I can look at it for hours… 😉 LOL no just kidding what makes the novel is the story and wow it was sexy, steamy and full of suspense.

This is like a give wrapped present. I loved reading every second of it especially with all those swoon worthy men. I love the protectiveness of Sabastian and I can’t wait to read more from all those royal shifters with so much strength and power!!

This book is about Tyla and Sebastian. Those two are true mates but Tyla is afraid to accept it. All her life she has lost every guy she has ever loved and now when she found her true mate, she is afraid to open up and accept it because she is scared to death that she might lose him, like she lost everyone before. Sebastian does not care how hard she pushes him away, he will push back until she figures out that she can’t live without him. He made sure of it because from that time on he will go where ever she goes as she is now the person that he will protect for the rest of his life. Sebastian got permission from her parents to become her protector until he dies. She was so pissed when she found out about that but it is something she could not change and any case she had other things on her mind at the time than just her love life. In the past she ran from her old pack because someone cruel and evil wanted her and she could not go to him. So her parents made sure she got away and they joined the royal pack. She was happy in that pack and felt safe, well that is when she got a call from her cousin calling for help. She and Sebastian went on a mission to find her cousin and what she found out shocked her. She found that her old pack members where all going missing. Tyla needed to stop this before more of her pack got hurt.

What I enjoyed about this book is Sebastian and his sexiness but wow he can easily get jealous but obviously that was before Tyla was actually his. I loved how strong and protective he is around Tyla and he did not let her pushing him away faze him much. I like how strong Tyla is even though bad stuff happened to her but what I’m really happy about is that she finally stopped fighting her feelings for Sebastian and gave into it instead. There was a little shock when I read about one of the characters entering the book. I mean I did not expect I would love her like that because I thought of her as evil at first but that was so not the case. She thankfully saved Tyla and Sebastian’s lives and I really want to read a book with Laila.

I loved this book and would easily reread it. I loved all the romance and the heat but I also enjoyed the suspense, there was just the right balance in this novel. So if you love Paranormal Romance then I suggest you get off your ass and read this book. It is really good and it is such an easy and quick read. Something fun to read when you might be on a book slump. It helped me get out of my slump. So yes go read this book as soon as possible and yes you DO NOT have to read the first book in this series to read this book.

Micah rushed out of his house and joined me in the pasture. “You ready, T?”

I looked down at his hand, where he held a piece of black cloth. “What’s that for?”

Grinning wide, he walked behind me and tied it around my eyes. I couldn’t see a thing. “We’re going to spar like this today. One day, you might have to fight using only a few of your senses. I want to see how well you’ll do.”

“Great,” I grumbled. Everything grew quiet, except for the birds chirping and the wind blowing through the trees. I know I looked like an idiot standing there twiddling my thumbs. A minute passed and then another. “When are we going to start?” I asked, lifting my hands in the air. There was no reply.

I was about to rip my blindfold off when my legs were swiped out from underneath me, and I fell hard to the ground, the breath whooshing out of my lungs. I gasped for air and shouted, “You’re gonna pay for that, Lyall.”

Laughing, Micah tried to take me down again, but I was prepared and jumped out of the way. “Good job. You’re learning fast,” he praised.

I crouched low and waited for him to strike again. “I knew you’d be impressed. Now give me what you got.” He rushed by me and I tried to hit him and missed. Several times he did the same move, but he was too fast for me to catch. I can do this. Taking a deep breath, I blocked out every other sound and listened for his steps. The second I heard the whoosh of air, I went on the attack. He tried to grab me, but I side-stepped him and smacked him on the back of the head. I burst out laughing when he growled.

“Didn’t expect that, did you?” I teased.

I thought he’d throw back a cutting comment, but there was only the sound of his rapid breathing. Before I could throw another cocky comment his way, he lunged and almost knocked me down to the ground, but I caught myself and got away. His movements were more aggressive and sporadic than usual. What the hell was going on?

My thoughts made me lose focus. Micah clutched me around the waist and we toppled to the ground. I tried to fight him off, but he grabbed my wrists and held them above my head, his legs straddling my waist. I could feel his breath on my face getting hotter as his body moved closer.

“Micah, what are you doing?” He moved down over me until our chests were touching, his breath on my lips. “Stop,” I commanded. Only he didn’t. As soon as our lips connected, his power blasted into me and I couldn’t fight back; my body didn’t want to. I knew it was Sebastian. The asshole had no right!
