I am a fan of the Black Falcon Series so I was excited to see what this novel was all about being that it is in the rocker scene. This was an enjoyable read although I did feel frustrated with both characters. Even still I did enjoy the flow, pace and storyline. I liked that this book did not feel rushed to get to that HEA. Both of these characters had problems but both of them eventually worked through them in a way that was the best for them and each other.
Iris is this super sweet girl with big dreams of making it big on Broadway and Ace is a runaway rockstar. Ace ran off the stage the moment he found out his adoptive mom is in the hospital. Instead of his manager telling him he should go to the hospital, she told him to go on stage. He went but he just could not do it anymore, these people did not have his best interest at heart. He could not even do his own music. Iris is also the trailer park manager and Ace is now the mysterious new tenant running and hiding from his past. Iris is trying to figure out how to keep what she inherit and Ace was trying to lose what he had always wanted. There was a lot of push and pull between Ace and Iris. Ace knew he needed to stay away from Iris because someone might figure out who he is which he does not want. Iris on the other hand just want to figure out why Ace hates her so much, why he keeps coming her aid only to push her away the next moment.
First I did not like that Iris allowed Ace to be rude to her but her grandmother taught her to always be kind. After a while she did break down his resistance and he did end up being super sweet to her. Ace is a sweet guy but with a little anger issues. Together they were a super great fit, well until people found out who Ace was. Then those two became super idiots. The last part of the book was filled with tension I was rooting for them to get their stuff together and I kept hoping that every page I turned would be Ace and Iris living their HEA. I really loved the way the book played out. Great thing was this book was not rushed. Great thing is both of them got the chance to live their dreams and the ending was really great one for both of them.
Overall I enjoyed this story. If you enjoy beautiful romance stories with strong moral characters and no over the top drama then obviously you will love this book! This is one good book. Go get your hands on this book if you want an easy and quick read.
Even being back in the Bronx, paying his dues didn’t rattle the charismatic axe man, ladies loved him and men wanted to be him. Fate would just have to catch up. Seemed like fate had more than just a platinum album planned for his future.
Alison Williams had the perfect life. Or at least she did until her world came crashing down around her, in the most epic way.
With her future no longer a certainty she finds herself out of her comfort zone and into unchartered territory—a place where Rusty Crawford likes to spend most of his time.
Will the charming and ridiculously hot rock god help her find her feet, or send her further down the rabbit hole? One thing was for sure; both of them were in for the ride of their lives.
In hindsight, I shouldn’t have been so surprised. There weren’t many bars in our little neighborhood where you didn’t need a Hep C shot before you entered. This particular establishment promised an impressive beer menu without the risk of a communicable disease, so it would stand to reason he would know about it too.
“Hi.” Was all I was able to manage, convinced he was probably talking to someone else. Perhaps he meant the Amazonian redhead who was sitting to my left, openly staring—that would make a hell of a lot of more sense. They could probably shoot joint commercials for teeth whitener and make adorable, if not freakishly tall, children together.
“I couldn’t help but notice your friend stole your drink. Ordinarily I’d overlook such thievery, but I’d hate for there to be a brawl in my favorite bar. So in the interest of keeping the peace, I’d like to replace it for you.” His voice smooth, as was his delivery. I had to remember to breathe.
“She wasn’t going to drink it, but you can totally buy her another drink,” Renee answered before I’d gotten the chance. Her smile widened as she turned to face me and mouthed the words “he’s hot.” She needn’t have bothered; his hotness was not something that needed to be confirmed.
“That’s okay, I’m good.” Thankfully words came out of my mouth even if they sounded in no way intelligent.
“Well, glad to hear you’re good. Nice to meet you, my name is Rusty.” He smiled as he moved in closer, his hand signaling the bartender. “What were you drinking?”
In what I can only explain as temporary insanity—probably from the shock of having the beautiful man talking to me—I blurted out, “I have a boyfriend.”
I officially wanted to die.
While I did have a boyfriend, and hopefully in a few hours I would be moving into his upscale apartment, there was no reason to announce it so dramatically. Almost as if to prove that I hadn’t secretly fantasized about him while in the shower every day this week—which I had. Sweat prickled at my brow.
“Is that some code for you’re not thirsty?” Rusty’s lips curved in amusement. While the words weren’t sexy, the humor in his voice was a definite turn on, a hot button straight to my libido as he stood there grinning at me.
“No, I-I just mean I can’t accept . . .” What was the word again? “A drink from you.” Yes, that’s what I wanted to say. “Or . . . or anyone else. N-not just you.” My mouth tried to regain some composure. It really wasn’t doing a great job.
“Well, would you look at the time? I have a thing, wouldn’t want to be late.” Renee tapped her naked wrist—her watch missing in action, as was her tact. “Call me, Ali.” She gave me a hug and whispered, “If you don’t screw this guy, you’re dead to me.” And just like that, she evaporated from the room.
“Your friend always bail on you like that, Ali?” Rusty’s voice curled seductively around my name as he smiled, moving to the barstool Renee had vacated.
With a rather eclectic resume, which reads more like the fiction she writes than an actual employment history, T struggled to find her niche in the world.
While on a subsequent trip the United States in 1999, T met and married her husband. Their whirlwind courtship and interesting impromptu convenience store wedding set the tone for their life together, which is anything but ordinary. They have lived in Louisiana, Guam and Australia and have traveled extensively throughout the US. T has two beautiful young children and one four legged child, Woodley, the wonder dog.
An avid reader, T became increasingly frustrated by the lack of strong female characters in the books she was reading. She wanted to read about a woman she could identify with, someone strong, independent and confident and who didn’t lack femininity. Out of this need, she decided to pen her first book, A Twist of Fate. T set herself the challenge to write something that was interesting, compelling and yet easy enough to read that was still enjoyable. Pulling from her own past “colorful” experiences and the amazing personalities she has surrounded herself with, she had no shortage of inspiration. With a strong slant on erotic fiction, her core characters are empowered women who don’t have to sacrifice their femininity. She enjoyed the process so much that when it was over she couldn’t let it go.
T loves to travel, laugh and surround herself with colorful characters. This inevitably spills into her writing and makes for an interesting journey – she is well and truly enjoying the ride!
Based on her life experiences, T has plenty of material for her books and has a wealth of ideas to keep you all enthralled.
Three years after her husband walked out on her Arden James is struggling to make ends meet as a single mom. Despite it all, she knows she’s better off with her ex out of the picture, and so is her daughter.

I absolutely loved In Your Heart…. It was sweet and adorable and so much different than the other two books. In this book they were first best friends and both were scared to take their relationship any further. Even though they had a chemistry that was of the charts. Now like the second book in this series it was also a new adult book. We met these two characters in the first book and I already liked then in those books.
Okay so this book is about Sadie who was engaged to a huge jackass. She found him cheating on her and when she found him like that, she went a little crazy…. Which I totally understand but sadly what she did got her arrested. She called her best friend Ezra to bail her out. Even though she hasn’t talked to him in a very long time… she pushed him out of her life, he still dropped everything and came to help her out. After all he loved her, he just did not know in what way he loved her.
Ezra helped her heal after feeling that her pride got damaged. She and Ezra made a deal with each other to have some kind of friends with benefits relationship but soon she realized that there deal would not work. She started to fall for him and she knows that when they end this friends with benefits deal then she would be very hurt and she might get her heartbroken. She hated that she had to hide their relationship to her friends but they did. Even though they aren’t very good at being secretive. Anyway EZRA needed to figure out his true feeling her at the end because Sadie was not able to keep this thing going, he was breaking her heart every time. She let him know what she thought and they nearly lost each other but luckily they had a great HEA!
Anyway like I said I love this book it was sweet and hot at the same time. Well for a new adult book. I loved Sadie because even though she was cheated on she still stood up for herself and she was strong. I liked that she broke it off with her fiancé because I knew in the second book already that she and Ezra were meant to be. It just took longer for the both of them to realise it. I do know Emma realised it since the beginning and Emma kept fighting for them to get their heads out of there asses and tell her the truth. Thankfully they did.
Anyway as you see this is a short review because I can’t go raving over this book… especially because I’m at work and people won’t take kindly that I review the whole day long instead of work 😛 I CANT WAIT TO READ THE NEXT BOOK! I really do love this series and would do anything to get more stories out of them. As always it was a real light read, a great book to read when you stressed because it helped me to unwind real quickly. Trust me get your hands on this series because you won’t regret it.
“This feels like when we were
younger,” he whispered. “Like no time at all has passed.” His words echoed my
Never Too Late is the second book in the Willow Creek series and I can tell you I loved it. This is also the first book in the series that has been turned into a New Adult book. This book had some great spunk and a nice edge. This book is still full on contemporary and also one of those cliché stories where high school lovers break up and then a few years later they find each other again and fall madly in love again 😛 but for me this book had a few twists. Yes it’s one of those cliché stories but I still loved it. It’s just who I am….. I love romance novels.
Now in my eyes this book deserves a full on five heart rating but I’m going to give it a 4 heart rating instead. Not because of what you think… I just loved the first book a little more and my expectations where set high for the next book. I don’t like liars so what Remy kept from Mathias was so bad in my eyes. I mean a person needs to know something that vital and he of course could have made her feel better, a person can’t go with something like that alone.
So you have already guessed this book is about two high school lovers that found each other again; but I’m still going to tell you what it’s about! So this story is about Mathias Wade, the singer of Willow Creek and also Maddox’s twin brother. Mathias was mean broody jackass who pushed everyone away in the first book and in this book he was still the same old guy but he slowly started to change when Remy came back into his life. Now Remy and Mathias so much alike in many ways so they fight like demon but when they make up, the fire ignites to burning point. Remy hated Mathias after he broke up with her. He told a load of lies to hurt her in the way that he thought she was hurting him. Let’s just say Mathias has a lot of abandonment issues and when Remy’s family moved to Arizona against here wishes he thought she was abandoning him. It took a while for him to trust that she won’t leave him again when she came back into his but her plan was one cruel plan… She wanted to make him feel the way she did when he broke her heart but she still loved him and could not go through with that plan.
Together they started trusting each other again and they become best friends once more where they can talk about anything to each other. Their relationship isn’t just a relationship it’s a friendship as well and that is what I love about a relationship…. You need to be best friends with the person you love. Though when Mathias found out Remy’s secret, she almost lost him. They nearly lost each other again but Remy’s grandmother and friends where very persistent and they made sure she never gave up. It just took a while for Mathias to get over that secret and now they don’t tell each other anymore lies. These two were made for each other. They understand each other and Remy is one strong woman who isn’t a pushover, she says her mind and some might not like her like that but she doesn’t care much about that.
All in all I love the book and the Mathias is actually a nice guy. My favourite moment of this book would be to see how overprotective Mathias got around his dog…. He can go real over board with his protectiveness. This was one fast and easy read and I’m sure I will love the other books in this series!
His voice lowered and rumbled against my body. “I know you very well, Remy.”
“Sex doesn’t count.”
He chuckled, his breath fanning against my neck. “Oh, Remy. We both know it was so much more than that.”
“Let me go.” I bucked against him again.
“That’s not allowed.” He growled.
“What are you going to do?” I taunted. “Tie me up?”
“I’m considering it.” His gray eyes were serious.
“What do you want with me?” I asked, my voice sounded breathless— not with want or desire, but with pain and suffering.
He leaned close and his delectable lips touched my ear. “I want you to stop haunting my fucking dreams.”
And then he let me go and walked away, like nothing ever happened.
Just like the last time.
“I was too quiet and different. I didn’t go out and party, I stayed home and read a book.”
Okay first off all I absolutely loved this book! It was sweet and adorable and I could not stop laughing the entire time I read this book! I started reading this book at midnight on Friday and when I started reading it I did not want to stop. I wanted to read further bug I forced myself to stop so I could go to bed. The first thing I did the next morning was to start reading this book and I did not stop until I finished it!
I sat with a grin on my face through the entire book…. Well up until the end! First of all you will know who Maddox is the moment you start! I mean you will guess what he does for a living and you would think oh wow another one of those cliche books with bands in but I can tell you that this book is beautifully written and it is a very light read!
“How have we lived in the same place for all these years and only just met?
Because we weren’t meant to meet then. This is our now.”
Okay so this book is about a seventeen year old girl named Emma. She went with her best friend to a summer fair but Sadie wanted to go listen to the music and Emma didn’t. They split up so they can have fun but in the end she could not find Sadie. Maddox saw her and decided to go talk to Emma. He was different and so dramatic! Maddox is the only guy that could make her laugh and he persuaded her to say yes for a date.
Their first date did not go as planned but he somehow got her to say yes for more dates. Together they decided to do thing the summer that they never would have done in the vacation. Maddox made her feel alive and slowly she started to have feelings for him but one day she found out that he lied to her. That lie nearly forced them apart but thankfully they ended up with a HEA after Emma got past all that hurt.
“The way I see it, there are always going to be the ones that love you and the ones that hate you—let’s face it, people love to tear others down, but as long as you’re confident within yourself then nothing else matters.”
This storyline might have been written a few times over but trust me you would not predict everything in this story! I can tell you this was a very refreshing book and can’t wait to read the rest of the books in this series!
What I loved the most about this book was Maddox! He was so hilarious and sweet and caring and so dramatic! Just the right kind of guy for a girl like Emma!
