Genre:Romance, Paranormal, Paranormal Romance, Adult, Erotica

Synopsis

Have you ever heard of the old Celtic legends of the Fae—beautiful, magical, and deadly creatures that have a love of messing with humans just for kicks and giggles?

Welcome to my world.

What started out as a strange assignment, lead to one of the most gruesome murder mysteries of our times. My friends and I are set and determined to find out who is killing off Fae and Witches alike.

Couple of problems in the way – I hate the Fae and the Prince of the Dark Fae is bound and determined that I work for him. He’s a rude, overbearing egotistical ass with a compulsive need to possess, dominate and control me. Oh—did I mention that he is absolutely sex-on-a-stick gorgeous and he makes me feel things that I never ever wanted to feel for a Fae… every time he touches me or looks at me with those dangerous golden eyes he seems to pull me further in under his spell, despite my better judgment.

My friends and I can’t trust anyone and nothing is as it seems on the surface—not even me.

WHY?

Why not? I loved this book the first time I read it, which made me drop everything and read the rest of the series! Now I just need more!!!

New Adult Contemporary Romance: Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

review5 Rating

This book was beautiful, exiting and very romantic. Mia Sheridan wrote this book amazingly and I loved every second of it. I didn’t think I will like this book that much but looks like I was really wrong on that part.

“I’m going to kiss you now, Evie, and when I do, it’s going to mean that you’re mine. I don’t care how far away from each other we are. You. Are. Mine. I’ll wait for you. And I want you to wait for me. Promise me you won’t let anyone else touch you. Promise me you’ll save yourself for me.”

This is a story of love between two foster kids. They both fell in love with each other at a real young age but Leo got adopted and he had to move to a new city. He promised that he will keep in contact with Evie but he broke that promise. That hurt Evie so much but she never really got over him. She could not even think about him without hurting. In a way she kept that promise for him up until a guy named Jake came into her life.

“After a minute, I look up and the boy named Leo is staring at me. I stare back, but he doesn´t look away.
“Why are you looking at me?” I hiss at him, my cheeks turning hot, filled with shame for the exchange he just heard.
He just keeps looking at me for a moment, and then he shrugs. “Because I like your face,” he says, but now a corner of his mouth is quirking up in a half smile.”

Jake told her that he was a friend of Leo’s and that Leo asked him to check up on her. Jake told her Leo was dead and she went that day into her room and cried the very night all night long. The next day he checked up on her and he was real sweet to her, he liked her a lot but he was keeping something very big from her. Every once in a while he reminded her of Leo but she chose to ignore it because it hurt her too much. Jake took her to do things she would never do in her life he kept her life out of her safe world. That scared her but he made her fall in love with him easier.

“He rips his mouth from mine as he growls, “Mine. Only mine. Only. Ever. Mine,” still slamming into me, pounding me against the wall.”

Jake kept a huge secret from Evie and when she found out what that secret was he nearly lost everything, lost her and his only true love. He told her why he lied to her and why he had to break a promise that he never wanted to brake, he was in a bad life after he left to a new city where he hated himself but somehow with Evie’s help he got better out of that self-hatred that he had for himself. It took her a while to get over that he lied to her but she loved him more, and the ending was just so sweet and loving and it had me dream for my very own prince charming.

“I choose you, I choose you, Leo. Always.”

Why?

I have seen a lot of this author lately and that made me think back on all the books I’ve read of her. One thing I can tell you is that all her books has so much emotion and the novels just pulls you right in. This is the first book I have read of her and I loved it a lot. But my favorite book would be Archer’s Voice. What’s your favorite book written by this author?

Contours of the Heart #1

Synopsis

When Jacqueline follows her longtime boyfriend to the college of his choice, the last thing she expects is a breakup two months into sophomore year. Rescued by a stranger who seems to be in the right place at the right time, she wants nothing more than to forget the attack and that night – but her savior, Lucas, sits on the back row of her econ class, sketching in a notebook and staring at her. Her friends nominate him to be the perfect rebound.

When her attacker turns stalker, Jacqueline has a choice: crumple in defeat or learn to fight back. Lucas remains protective, but he’s hiding secrets of his own. Suddenly appearances are everything, and knowing who to trust is anything but easy.

“Choosing to be with you isn’t a difficult decision, Jacqueline,” he breathed, pulling one final time to stare into my eyes. “It’s easy. Incredibly easy.”

This book was breathtaking beautiful. Easy was all sexy, sweet, innocent, realistic and very steamy; all in one go. Tammara knows how to write a story that kept you on your edge of the seat the whole time. This book starts of very vivid and in s cruel kind off way where Jacqueline nearly gets raped, but some one saves her from this cruel rapist. She never saw her savior before in college but after she nearly got raped, she sees him everywhere now.

Love is not the absence of logic but logic examined and recalculated heated and curved to fit inside the contours of the heart.

Lucas knew Jacqueline from her Econ class and he liked her before she even knew about him, but she was dating someone at the time. Lucas liked her because she was real and not like the rest of those college girls. Lucas is what you would call a bad boy with tattoos and a lipring but he is smoking hot. This is my kind of guy!  Lucas also has secrets that he kept from Jacqueline because he was scared to loose her like he lost his mom.

Jacqueline was suppose to use him as her rebound guy but with Lucas’s heart of gold; she fell in love with him. The plan started off well but it all changed when she could only think about him and where she tries to figure out about his past and why he does all those jobs he has. She found out that he was lying to her about the tutor thing but that worked out quite well in the end. When Jacqueline told her best friend about the assult; Erin broke up with her boyfriend because he didn’t believe Erin or Jacqueline. He was good friends with the rapist. Erin signed them up for self defense classes and Lucas was also a teacher at the defense classes. Lucas is very protective over women because of his mother. I would love a guy like this!

“The night we met- I’m not like that guy.” His jaw was rigid. “I know tha-” He placed a finger over my lips, his expression softening. “So I don’t want you to feel pressured or overpowered. But I do, absolutely, want to kiss you right now. Badly.”

What I love about this book is it never got boring. You always wanted to know what will happen to snuck if anybody stopped him.  I also loved it that Jacqueline fell in love with two guys but actually those two guys were just one person, only different parts of him. What I did not like about it was that Jacqueline went to pry about Lucas’s past and she nearly lost him because of it. I loved how protective he is if th people he loved. This book was one of my favorites and I would recommend it to all but just to let you know it is not a dark story there is not a lot of rape, if you thought this book is to do about rape then you wrong. I really would say this is a nice romantic story of people finding each other.

“I noticed you the first week. Not just because of how pretty you are, though of course, that played into it. It was the way you lean onto your elbows when you ‘re listening in class, when something catches your interest. And when you laugh, it’s never to get attention, it’s just-laughter. The way you obssevively tuck your hair behind your ear on the left side, but let the right side fall down like a screen. And when you ‘re bored, you tap your foot soundlessly and move your fingers on the desktop like you ‘re playing an instrument. I wanted to sketch you.”

If you’re looking for a story about a good, humble girl, who’s been hurt by someone she thought she could trust, only to find out she’s not as vulnerable as she thought she was and discovers an empowering side of herself that falls in love with the guy who helps her find that self, blah, blah, blah…then you’re gonna’ hate my story.

Because mine is not the story you read every time you bend back the cover of the latest trend novel. It’s not the “I can do anything, now that I’ve found you/I’m misunderstood but one day you’ll find me irresistible because of it” tale. Why? Because, if I was being honest with you, I’m a complete witch. There’s nothing redeeming about me. I’m a friend using, drug abusing, sex addict from Los Angeles. I’m every girlfriend’s worst nightmare and every boy’s fantasy.

I’m Sophie Price…And this is the story about how I went from the world’s most envied girl to the girl no one wanted around and why I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world.
