So this is going to be short review as I’m typing this out on my lunch break at work. 
So this is the second book that I have read by this author and let me tell you that I enjoyed it immensely. I mean this was a quick, fast paced and solid novel. This novel had a little of everything in here…. It had love, angst, drama and mystery. I love all of that in novels. I love strong females making their way into the male dominated professions. It shows is you work for what you want.
Delaney is a female bodyguard and worked real hard to get the respect she deserves from her fellow male co-workers. She finally gets her own case where she can prove to all the men she can do just as good a job as a man, she get the very yummy, rich, hot Jaxon Shields. He does not want a women bodyguard and makes no problem at making it known. Delaney did not give up though and she proved she can do a good job. Not only does she save him when there was an attempt on his life but she also started to get under his skin… which obviously started to from an attraction between the two.
Now it took me awhile to warm up to Jax. Let me tell you he gave me whiplash with all those mood swings of his. I mean flirty one moment then sexist pig the next. I don’t know maybe I needed his POV as well just to understand him better with that mood swings! I loved how Delaney was not scared to stand up for her job and I loved that bite to her tongue 😛
Those love scenes were hot. I liked it a lot and the story moved at a fast pace… this is not a long book but it still had enough drama to keep me interested until the very end. If you need a quick read that holds your interest, then this book is it. This is a great guilty pleasure so trust me you should read this and maybe read the other books in this series!!
